Indian equities witnessed stock-specific action on July 7 as several companies attracted buying interest based on technical strength, even as broader market triggers remained limited.

Among the gainers, India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) surged more than 10 percent to Rs 646.35, trading above its 30-day, 50-day, 150-day and 200-day simple moving averages, indicating strong bullish momentum across short-, medium- and long-term timeframes.

Welspun Investments & Commercials gained over 4 percent to Rs 1,874.50 while remaining comfortably above all its key moving averages, reflecting sustained buying interest and a constructive technical outlook.

Peninsula Land advanced nearly 4 percent to Rs 16.43. The stock traded above its 30-day moving average and around its 50-day moving average, although it continued to remain below its 150-day and 200-day averages, suggesting improving near-term momentum while the longer-term trend remains subdued.

On the downside, Usha Financial Services declined nearly 5 percent and traded below all its major moving averages, indicating persistent selling pressure and a weak technical setup.

Sterlite Technologies fell more than 4.5 percent. While the stock slipped below its 30-day moving average, it continued to trade above its 50-day, 150-day and 200-day moving averages, suggesting near-term weakness within an otherwise positive medium- and long-term trend.

Kalyan Jewellers India declined 3.61 percent after falling below all its key moving averages, reflecting continued bearish momentum across multiple timeframes.

Market breadth also remained supported by a large number of stocks touching fresh 52-week highs. Companies achieving new one-year highs included Titan Company, Gland Pharma, Granules India, Zydus Lifesciences, GMR Airports, JB Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals, Torrent Pharmaceuticals, Cholamandalam Investment & Finance, IndusInd Bank, Lupin, Radico Khaitan, Adani Energy Solutions, Phoenix Mills, Delhivery, Schneider Electric Infrastructure, Grasim Industries, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise, L&T Finance and Capri Global Capital, highlighting continued stock-specific strength despite mixed broader market sentiment.
