Stock specific activity is likely to remain in focus on Dalal Street on September 9 as investors assess a series of corporate developments involving Fermenta Biotech, Coforge, Laxmi Organic Industries and Raymond.
Fermenta Biotech shares gained around 4% after the company signed an exclusive licence agreement with the Vellore Institute of Technology in Vellore for the commercialisation of a technology focused on natural in situ vitamin B12 fortification in fermented foods. The development is expected to support the company’s efforts to commercialise the technology and expand its presence in nutrition and food fortification applications.
Coforge shares declined around 5% after chairperson and non executive independent director O P Bhatt resigned from the company with immediate effect. The board subsequently designated Vivek Sharma, a non executive independent director, as interim chairperson of the company until January 31, 2027. The leadership transition is likely to remain a key focus for investors as the market assesses its implications for the company’s governance and strategic direction.
Laxmi Organic Industries shares fell around 1.5% after Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Rajan Venkatesh resigned from his position, effective November 13, 2026, to pursue opportunities outside the company. The board has appointed Harshvardhan Goenka, currently an executive director, as MD and CEO for a five year term beginning November 14, 2026. Investors are likely to monitor the leadership transition and its potential impact on the company’s business strategy and execution.
Raymond shares shed around 8% after the company’s board approved a proposal to raise Rs 214.71 crore through the preferential allotment of 33.29 lakh convertible warrants. The warrants will be issued for cash at an issue price of Rs 645 per warrant to Minerva Ventures Fund on a private placement basis. The proposed fundraising is likely to remain a key near term trigger for the stock as investors assess the impact of the capital raising on the company’s financial position and shareholding structure.
Beyond these developments, investors are expected to track brokerage calls, block deals, order wins, regulatory announcements and other company specific triggers that could influence individual stocks and contribute to elevated volatility during the trading session.
