Indian equity markets extended their winning streak on November 4, 2026, with the Sensex rising around 350 points and the Nifty trading above the 23,900 mark. The benchmark indices recorded their fifth consecutive session of gains, supported by sustained foreign institutional investor (FII) buying and easing crude oil prices.

Foreign institutional investors strengthened their buying activity for the third consecutive session on November 3, recording net equity purchases worth Rs 6,836 crore. Continued foreign fund inflows have emerged as a key factor supporting the recovery in Indian equities and improving investor sentiment.

Easing crude oil prices also contributed to the positive market outlook. Lower oil prices are generally supportive of the Indian economy, as the country relies heavily on imports to meet its energy requirements. A moderation in crude prices can help reduce inflationary pressures, improve the current account position, and support corporate profitability.
