Larsen and Toubro (L&T) announced that its Energy Hydrocarbon Offshore (LTEH Offshore) business has secured an ultra-mega offshore contract from ADNOC Offshore for a major energy infrastructure project in the Middle East.
Under L&T's internal project classification framework, an ultra-mega order represents a contract valued at more than Rs 15,000 crore, making it one of the largest order categories awarded to the company.
The project involves the development of multiple offshore facilities, with LTEH Offshore acting as the lead partner in a consortium responsible for executing the project. As the lead partner, the company will undertake the majority of the engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning (EPCIC) activities, along with the upgrade of existing offshore infrastructure.
A substantial portion of the fabrication work will be carried out at L&T's fabrication yards, leveraging the company's integrated EPCIC capabilities and extensive experience in delivering offshore energy projects across the Middle East.
LTEH Offshore provides EPCIC solutions to the offshore oil and gas industry through its in-house engineering expertise, fabrication facilities and marine vessel fleet. Over the past four decades, the business has executed a wide range of offshore projects, including fixed platforms, subsea pipelines and structures, brownfield upgrades and decommissioning assignments.
Commenting on the development, S N Subrahmanyan, Chairman and Managing Director of Larsen and Toubro, said the award reflects ADNOC's confidence in L&T's engineering capabilities, project execution expertise and commitment to delivering complex energy infrastructure projects safely and on schedule. He added that the company remains committed to supporting the UAE's energy sector through innovative and world-class offshore solutions.
