ITC reported that annual consumer spending on its fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) portfolio increased 8.8 percent year-on-year to over Rs 37,000 crore in FY26, according to its latest annual report. The company's products now reach around 28 crore households, reflecting the continued expansion of its consumer franchise across India.
Consumer spending on ITC's FMCG products has maintained a steady growth trajectory over the past few years. It increased from nearly Rs 29,000 crore in FY23 to around Rs 32,500 crore in FY24 before rising to approximately Rs 34,000 crore in FY25. While the pace of growth moderated in FY25, consumer spending has expanded by nearly Rs 8,000 crore over the three-year period ending FY26.
The company said its FMCG portfolio comprises more than 30 brands, including Aashirvaad, Bingo, Sunfeast, YiPPee, Classmate, Mangaldeep and Fiama. During FY26, ITC introduced nearly 100 new products across targeted markets as part of its strategy to strengthen its portfolio and capture emerging consumer demand.
ITC's FMCG business recorded segment revenue of Rs 24,209.75 crore in FY26, registering growth of 10.1 percent over the previous year. Despite the expansion of its non-cigarette businesses, cigarettes remained the company's largest revenue contributor, generating Rs 37,099.65 crore, or 45.9 percent of its gross revenue from products and services.
Several of ITC's brands continue to maintain leadership positions in their respective categories. Aashirvaad remains the market leader in branded atta, Bingo leads the bridges snack segment, Sunfeast holds the top position in cream biscuits, and Classmate continues to dominate the notebook market. YiPPee ranks as the second-largest noodles brand, while Mangaldeep is the second-largest incense sticks brand.
The company cautioned that the ongoing conflict in West Asia has resulted in higher input and fuel costs, increasing near-term inflationary pressures. ITC said it continues to undertake proactive measures across its operations to mitigate cost pressures while maintaining competitiveness and growth momentum.
Looking ahead, ITC said its FMCG strategy remains focused on expanding into value-added and emerging categories with low household penetration by leveraging its portfolio of established brands. The company also continues to strengthen its international presence, with its FMCG products now available in more than 70 countries, while exploring additional growth opportunities in nearby overseas markets.
