Indian AI Stocks Rally as Global Capital Flows and Nvidia Earnings Reinforce Sector Optimism

Indian artificial intelligence-linked stocks gained sharply on Friday as investors reacted to strengthening global AI sentiment. Fresh funding activity at Anthropic and stronger-than-expected earnings from Nvidia highlighted continued investor confidence in AI infrastructure, software, and computing ecosystems worldwide. The rally reflects how developments in global AI leaders are increasingly influencing valuation trends and investor positioning in India's emerging AI-linked technology universe.

Indian artificial intelligence-focused stocks witnessed strong buying interest on Friday, mirroring a global surge in optimism surrounding the rapidly expanding AI ecosystem. Investor sentiment was buoyed by a combination of fresh capital deployment into leading AI startups and robust earnings from one of the world's most influential semiconductor companies, reinforcing expectations that the AI investment cycle remains far from over.

Among domestic beneficiaries, Netweb Technologies India emerged as the standout performer, rising more than 13% during trading. Black Box and E2E Networks also traded higher as investors sought exposure to companies perceived to be linked to AI infrastructure, data center expansion, cloud computing, and enterprise technology services.

The latest catalyst originated from the global AI landscape, where Anthropic reportedly secured a major funding round that significantly increased its valuation. The fundraising underscores continued investor appetite for artificial intelligence companies despite already elevated valuations across the sector. The development is particularly notable because it signals that private capital continues to aggressively back firms developing next-generation AI models and enterprise AI solutions.

Beyond the fundraising announcement, Anthropic also unveiled an upgraded version of its Claude Opus model while preparing for a wider rollout of its advanced Mythos large language model. The company indicated that the platform includes sophisticated cybersecurity capabilities and is being deployed under Project Glasswing in collaboration with major technology firms. The involvement of large global technology companies highlights the increasing commercial adoption of AI tools beyond consumer applications and into enterprise security, infrastructure management, and mission-critical business functions.

However, the larger sentiment driver for global markets came from Nvidia, whose latest quarterly performance once again demonstrated the scale of demand being generated by AI infrastructure investments. The company reported record first-quarter fiscal 2027 revenue, representing substantial year-on-year growth and surpassing market expectations. Management also announced a significant share repurchase program alongside an increase in its quarterly dividend, signalling confidence in future cash generation and earnings visibility.

Nvidia's management commentary further strengthened investor conviction. The company projected stronger revenue for the upcoming quarter and reiterated expectations that spending on AI infrastructure would continue to expand globally. This outlook is particularly important because Nvidia remains one of the most closely watched indicators of AI-related capital expenditure trends across hyperscalers, cloud providers, enterprises, and governments.

For Indian markets, the developments reinforce a broader theme that has gained traction over the past two years: the AI opportunity is no longer limited to global technology giants. Investors are increasingly identifying domestic companies that could benefit from rising demand for data centers, high-performance computing, cloud infrastructure, AI deployment services, and enterprise digital transformation initiatives.

The positive reaction in Indian AI-linked counters suggests that market participants are willing to assign higher growth expectations to companies positioned within the broader AI value chain. While many domestic firms remain significantly smaller than global AI leaders, the expectation is that increased enterprise adoption of AI technologies could create long-term opportunities for infrastructure providers, networking companies, and cloud-focused businesses.

From a sector perspective, the technology segment stands to benefit the most if global AI investment momentum remains intact. Companies involved in computing infrastructure, networking equipment, cloud services, cybersecurity, and digital platforms may continue attracting investor attention as AI spending expands globally.
