Brent crude futures climbed above 116 dollars per barrel on October 30, 2026, as renewed attacks on Saudi infrastructure raised concerns over potential disruptions to global oil supplies.

Around 9:30 am, Brent crude futures were trading at 116.25 dollars per barrel, up 1.19 percent, while US West Texas Intermediate WTI crude futures gained 1.18 percent to 103.20 dollars per barrel.

The rise in oil prices came amid heightened fears that attacks on Saudi infrastructure could affect the availability and movement of crude supplies. Saudi Arabia is a major producer and exporter in the global oil market, making any threat to its energy infrastructure a key concern for international markets.

The latest move comes as crude prices remain elevated due to broader geopolitical risks and uncertainty surrounding global energy supplies. Further escalation could increase the risk of supply disruptions and push crude prices higher in the near term.

Higher crude prices could have significant implications for oil importing economies, particularly India, by increasing the country's import bill and potentially putting pressure on inflation, the current account balance and corporate margins.

For equity markets, sustained increases in crude prices could be negative for sectors and companies that are sensitive to higher input and energy costs. At the same time, upstream oil producers may benefit from stronger crude prices.

Market participants are likely to closely monitor developments around Saudi energy infrastructure and the broader geopolitical situation for indications of whether the supply disruption fears could translate into a prolonged period of elevated crude prices.
