TVS Motor Posts Strong July Sales; Exports Hit Record High Despite EV Supply Hurdles

TVS Motor Company registered a strong performance in July 2025, recording total sales of 4,56,350 units—a 29% increase compared to 3,54,140 units in July 2024. Two-wheeler sales rose by 29% year-on-year to 4,38,790 units, driven by robust domestic demand and exceptional export performance. Domestic sales stood at 3,08,720 units, up 21% YoY, while two-wheeler exports surged 52% to a record 1,30,070 units. In terms of vehicle segments, motorcycles grew by 25% to 2,01,494 units and scooter sales jumped 42% to 1,98,265 units. Electric vehicle volumes reached 23,605 units, marking a modest 10% increase, with management attributing the slower pace to supply chain disruptions related to magnet components. Meanwhile, three-wheeler sales climbed 21% to 17,560 units, and overall exports including three-wheelers stood at 1,42,629 units, reflecting a strong 46% YoY growth.
