KPIT Technologies Ltd has entered into a strategic collaboration with JSW Motors to co-develop the software and digital backbone for JSW’s upcoming New Energy Vehicles (NEVs). The partnership marks a significant step toward creating an AI-driven, next-gen mobility ecosystem customized for India’s growing electric vehicle (EV) landscape.

JSW Motors has committed a massive US$3 billion investment over the next five years to support its NEV ambitions. As part of the partnership, KPIT will design and develop advanced vehicle software platforms, AI-based control systems, and digital infrastructure for the NEV lineup.

The first vehicle under the JSW NEV portfolio is expected to hit the market by the second half of FY2026. This collaboration not only deepens KPIT’s foothold in the EV software domain but also reinforces its position as a leading technology enabler for sustainable mobility.

Analysts see the alliance as a major win for KPIT Technologies, which has been steadily expanding its presence in autonomous, connected, and electric vehicle platforms globally. The deal highlights the shift in the Indian automotive sector toward homegrown digital and software-led EV solutions.
