Asahi India Glass Q1 Profit Falls 28% to ₹560 Mn Despite 8.5% Revenue Growth
Asahi India Glass Q1 FY26 results: Net profit drops 28% YoY to ₹560 Mn; revenue up 8.5% to ₹12.3 Bn; EBITDA margin narrows to 15.65%.
Asahi India Glass Ltd reported its Q1 FY26 financial results, revealing a mixed performance for the quarter ending June 2025. The company’s net profit declined sharply by 28.2% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹560 million, compared to ₹780 million in Q1 FY25, reflecting pressure on profitability.
On the revenue front, the company posted an 8.5% YoY growth, with total income rising to ₹12.3 billion from ₹11.33 billion in the same quarter last year. EBITDA also improved moderately to ₹1.92 billion, up 6.7% from ₹1.8 billion a year ago.
However, profitability margins witnessed a slight contraction. The EBITDA margin slipped to 15.65%, down by 37 basis points compared to 16.02% in Q1 FY25. The decline in margins and profit indicates elevated input costs or pricing challenges, despite a healthy increase in topline and operating income.
Analysts suggest that while the company’s revenue trajectory remains intact, the dip in net earnings points to cost pressures that could persist in the near term. Investors will be watching closely for management commentary on cost control and volume growth across the auto and architectural glass segments.
