Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has announced the opening of a new AI-driven operations center in Mexico City, reinforcing its commitment to innovation and growth in Mexico and Latin America. This new facility marks TCS’ eighth operations center in Mexico, where the IT giant has built a workforce of more than 11,000 skilled associates over the last 22 years.
The expansion is a part of TCS’ broader Latin America growth strategy, with plans to generate new employment opportunities in Mexico over the next two years.
Focus on Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technologies
The new Mexico City center will be staffed with AI specialists, software engineers, and technology experts focusing on emerging enterprise solutions. TCS will offer services across artificial intelligence, cloud, cybersecurity, IoT, IT infrastructure, application development, and cognitive business operations.
Rajeev Gupta, Head-Nearshore LATAM and Country Head – Mexico at TCS, said:
“The launch of our AI-powered office in Mexico City marks a significant milestone in our journey towards delivering cutting-edge solutions for all our customers in the country.”
Marcelo Wurmann, CEO – Latin America at TCS, added:

Strengthening Mexico’s Digital Ecosystem
TCS emphasized that the new center will accelerate Mexico’s digital ecosystem by collaborating with businesses, institutions, and communities to drive sustainable growth.
Mexico’s Economy Secretary, Marcelo Ebrard, highlighted the importance of the expansion, stating:
“The relationship between Mexico and India continues to strengthen, and the expansion of leading companies like TCS is a clear example. The investment and creation of high-quality jobs that TCS brings with this new center are crucial to the development of our digital economy and the positioning of Mexico as a hub for technological innovation.”
Expanding TCS’ Innovation Footprint
This AI-driven center complements TCS’ specialized units already operating in Mexico, including the Cognitive Business Operations Center in Guadalajara and the Threat Management Center in Querétaro. Together, these facilities enhance TCS’ ability to deliver next-gen digital solutions.
TCS currently serves over 400 major clients in Mexico and Latin America, including global and regional leaders like Cemex, Febraban, Banamex, and Bradesco. The company has consistently been recognized for its workplace culture and innovation. In 2025, TCS was named a Top Employer in Mexico for the 11th consecutive year, recognized as a Socially Responsible Company by CEMEFI, and listed among LinkedIn’s Top 25 Companies to build a career in Mexico.
With this latest investment, TCS strengthens its role as a key player in Latin America’s digital transformation, while deepening India-Mexico business ties.
