Nestle India Ltd reported a robust financial performance for the first quarter of FY27, with consolidated net profit rising 48 percent year-on-year to Rs 958.7 crore, compared with the corresponding quarter last year. Consolidated revenue from operations increased 25 percent to Rs 6,378.2 crore, reflecting strong demand across its product portfolio.
On a standalone basis, the company reported total sales of Rs 6,363.3 crore during the quarter, up 25.4 percent from a year earlier, while profit after tax climbed 47.9 percent to Rs 975.1 crore. The performance surpassed analysts' expectations, which had estimated total sales of Rs 6,065 crore and net profit of Rs 857 crore.
Domestic sales registered a 25 percent year-on-year increase, while EBITDA margin stood at 24.2 percent. Earnings per share for the quarter came in at Rs 5.06.
Chairman and Managing Director Manish Tiwary said the strong quarterly performance was primarily driven by volume-led sales growth. He noted that exports grew 35.6 percent despite prevailing geopolitical challenges, while the company continued to improve operational efficiencies through accelerated cost-saving initiatives.
Nestle India also increased investments in brand building during the quarter, with advertising expenditure rising more than 40 percent compared with the previous year. According to the company, all four major product groups recorded strong double-digit growth, supported by healthy demand across multiple sales channels.
The strong earnings boosted investor sentiment, with Nestle India's shares rising around 3.3 percent during Wednesday's trading session. The stock has gained nearly 15.9 percent so far in 2026, outperforming the broader Nifty 50 index over the same period.
