🏗️ Reliance to Double Down on Northeast, Invest ₹75,000 Cr Over 5 Years: Mukesh Ambani
Mukesh Ambani announced that Reliance Industries will double its cumulative investment in India’s Northeast to ₹75,000 crore over the next five years, marking a major economic and developmental commitment to the region.
Speaking at the North-East Summit, Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani said the company will double its investments in the Northeast to ₹75,000 crore in the next five years, up from the ₹25,000 crore already deployed. The investment is expected to span telecom, retail, green energy, and socio-economic infrastructure.
In a bid to contribute beyond business, Ambani also announced that Reliance Foundation will set up Olympic training centres across the Northeast, aiming to nurture the region’s rich sporting talent. The initiative aligns with the region’s strong track record in producing top athletes and underlines Reliance’s growing role in grassroots sports development. This renewed focus could potentially unlock massive economic and human capital for India’s underdeveloped northeastern states.
